The Memphis Challenge offers leadership and professional development workshops.
 
Challengers attended a Resume Writing Writing workshop led by FedEx Senior HR Representative and MC Board Member, Leslie Coleman
 
Challengers received tips on writing the “perfect” college essay during a workshop led by “FedEX Communication Design Team”. FedEx Communication Specialist, Cecelia Wright-Payne (center) poses with Challengers during a portion of the workshop dedicated to one-on-one sessions.
 
Challengers attend a two part workshop on How to Be An Authentic Leader led Executive Director, Center for Ethical Leadership (Christian Brothers University), Dr. Bev. Pray. Challengers received feedback on their Myers Briggs Type Indicators and learned how to use their strengths to accomplish their goals.
 
MC students are challenged to excel academically and in the workplace. They are required to attend Memphis Challenge workshops, activities, events and participate in community service projects.
 
Challengers are given strategies and techniques for “Enjoying Your Time on the Floor” during a public speaking workshop led by DLM Business Consultants President, Dan Medlock.
 
Challengers are offered approximately ten workshops throughout the program year. The workshops include Time Management, Essay Writing, Resume Writing, Public Speaking, Leadership Development, Financial Fitness and Interviewing
 
To benefit fully from the Memphis Challenge program, students cannot miss more than three (3) workshops.
